Blackberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops

I have been trying to reduce our sodium intake and that means packing in MORE FLAVOR. This really turned out very tasty and with very little effort. The glaze seems very versatile but I would need to play around with it first. It really is a must try!

Ingredients

-4-6 Pork Chops

-1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter

-1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

-Cinnamon

-Seasoning Salt

-1/3 cup Balsamic Vinegar

-1 cup Blackberries

-1 Tablespoon Honey

-1 Tablespoon Water

Directions

  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Set the pork chops on a cutting board or plate and sprinkle each side lightly with cinnamon and seasoning salt. Cook each pork chop until browned on both side and 90% cooked through. Set aside.
  • Take the pan you cooked the pork chops in and add the balsamic vinegar, blackberries, honey and water and cook over a medium heat, making sure to scrap up the bottom of the pan. That’s the good stuff.
  • Continue cooking over medium heat until the blackberries start to break up. Add your pork chops back into  the mixture and cook until the pork chops are cooked through. Make sure to spoon the blackberries on  top of the pork chops so they don’t burn.
  • Serve with a portion of the glaze and blackberries on top.
